St. Anne's Church is pleased to use online media in its communications to parishioners and visitors. In addition to the richness that you already experience with the parish website, we offer multiple online venues for receiving information on the life and activities of the parish community through social networking media.

The social networking sites for St. Anne's Church are established in accordance with the Diocesan Guidelines for the use of social networking sites. They are used for ministry, education, and communications of parish-related activities and not for chatting or socializing. Postings are monitored regularly, and inappropriate content is removed promptly.

Parents should be aware that some online postings may include photos of school-age children who participate in the parish events. Parents who wish to withhold posting of photos of their children should notify Ellie Smith, pastoral assistant, by telephone (508-757-5154 ext. 12) or email ([email protected]).

The Diocesan tool for electronic messaging, Flocknote, is used actively to send announcements and messages to several parish groups and communities via email or text. Current use includes:

• General Parish Announcements
• Religious Education classes
• Liturgical Ministries (Altar Servers, Lectors, Eucharistic Ministers)
• Environment Committee Notices

Messages and announcements focus on upcoming parish events, committee meetings, CCD school closures, minister substitutions, and requests for liturgical ministers on holy days.

The Facebook account is used to post announcements, photos, and articles related to the parish and parish events..
